The terms that apply when you use the Steady Stream website or work with us.

Last updated October 23, 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to your use of steadystream.ca and to services provided by Steady Stream Digital Marketing Inc. (“Steady Stream”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Ontario, Canada. By using the website or our services, you agree to them. If you’re a client, your proposal or service agreement also applies, and it takes priority if anything conflicts. Questions can be sent to hello@steadystream.ca.

Using our website

You can use this website to learn about our services and contact us. Please don’t misuse it, including by trying to access it in unauthorized ways, interfering with how it works, or copying its content for commercial use without permission.

The articles, guides and other content on this website are general information about marketing. They aren’t financial, legal, tax or compliance advice, and they shouldn’t be relied on as such.

Our services

The scope, deliverables, fees and timelines for each engagement are set out in your proposal or service agreement. Prices shown on our website are a guide and may change. Advertising budgets paid to platforms such as Google, Meta and LinkedIn are separate from our fees unless your agreement says otherwise.

We do careful, consistent work and share results we’ve achieved for other clients, but we can’t guarantee specific outcomes. Search rankings, AI recommendations, ad performance, event attendance and leads depend on many factors outside our control, including search engines, platforms, competitors and your market.

Your responsibilities as a client

Every piece of content goes through our compliance process before it’s published. If your firm or dealer has its own compliance department, we can work with them directly, so you don’t have to manage reviews yourself. Please tell us about any rules specific to your firm, dealer or regulator so we can follow them.

Third-party platforms

Much of our work runs on platforms we don’t control, such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Instagram and website hosts. Their terms and policies apply, and they can change their rules, pricing or algorithms, or limit or suspend accounts. We’re not responsible for those decisions, but we’ll help you respond to them.

Ownership

The content of this website, including text, design and graphics, belongs to Steady Stream and may not be reused without permission.

Unless your agreement says otherwise, once you’ve paid for it, you own the website copy, articles and other content we create specifically for you. We keep ownership of our own tools, templates, methods and know-how, and we may use general learnings from our work to improve our services.

Payment and cancellation

Fees, billing schedules, package discounts and cancellation terms are set out in your proposal or agreement. Monthly services can be cancelled as described there. Fees for work already completed, and amounts already spent on advertising, aren’t refundable.

Links to other websites

Our website links to other websites for your convenience. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided “as is”, and Steady Stream isn’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the website or our services. For clients, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in question in the three months before the claim, unless your agreement says otherwise.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal information.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed.
